So its 2 years later (this post was meant to be part of a thread from 2 years ago and, apparently, I inadvertantly started a new thread instead of adding to that one -- guess that being on CH since the beginning hasn't helped me figure this place out these days) & we decided to leave our beach rental in Indian Shores and spend the day in the Tampa area. Two very nice hours at the Manatee Viewing Area, watching the manatees & spending money in the Gift Shop & we were hungry (not related to the manatees I hope). So we decided to drive up to Fodder & Shine for a large lunch. Excellent. The kind of place that'd be at home in Brooklyn, Seattle, Austin and probably a host of other outpost cities for trendy youngstas. In a good way. Everything we ordered was tasty, well prepared, of nice quantity & served with friendliness and no pretense. We ordered enough to take home for a light dinner as well and still only managed to spend $100 with a large tip. Apps were boudin balls (an excellent rendition), fried green tomatoes (very cleanly fried crust and tasty green tomatoes) and an order of fresh skillet corn bread. Mains of pulled pig on a thick slice of homemade white bread w/sides of black eyed peas & coleslaw and 1/2 fried chicken with collards & mashed potatoes were both perfectly done. A very large slice of chocolate cake, a couple of glasses of good Zin for her and a couple of craft beers for me. This place is a winner and I'd easily recommend it. Glad we finally went. Did anyone else ever go?
