Flipping grated hash brown potatoes

Hank Hanover | Dec 5, 2011 10:48 PM

I often cook breakfast 4 - 5 people. I would like to provide grated hash browned potatoes. I would like to be able to serve it in 1 big piece then cut it into pie wedges.

How can I flip theses hash browned potatoes and keep them in 1 piece? The only thing I can think of is some kind of huge circular spatula. Maybe a 10 inch cake lifter.

I can flip vegetables and such in a skillet but I don't think I could flip a 12 inch piece of hash brown potatoes and not make a mess.

Oh and what's with all the recipes for hash browns calling out diced potatoes? As far as I'm concerned hash browns are grated.
