As a consequence of the post BBQ tasting debate, I stopped at Flint's at 31st and San Pablo for a beef sandwitch lunch. There is nowhere to eat and a long line which had to listen to the snappy dialog between the woman with the hatchet and everyon on line, but the meat was great. There was about three times the quantity of tender brisket and a smoky sauce (mild) which was as good as anything I've had in the Bay Area or in my years in Chicago. Of course I am in no position to comapre as you were at the taste off, but I'd be surprised if Flint's wouldn't have come out very high. Does anyone know if there is significant variation between locations? No that's science for you- a systematic comparison.
