I stopped in here for my first time for a quick bite last night around 9:30. I was happy to see the restaurant was half full, and proceeded to fill up over the course of my dinner. I was also happy to hear that they are working on getting their liquor license, even though I was disappointed that I couldn't order a beer.
I ordered the Unagi maki and the Spicy Tuna hand roll while my friend ordered the spicy tuna and philadelphia maki (neither of us were feeling very adventurous). While we were waiting the chefs sent out some tuna sashimi with truffle butter and black roe (don't really know the different kinds). It was delicious and a great start. We both enjoyed our sushi, and I especially like the handroll which was so full of tuna.
When we asked for our check the manager told us we had to have some complimentary fried ice cream for dessert, and when i told her I was in a hurry and couldn't wait she kindly put some in a to-go container for me. This was my first time having fried ice cream and I think it is officially my new favorite dessert.
The food was all excellent, but I think the best part was the great staff. The manager could not have been more friendly and the waitress was very knowledgeable and seemed to be doing a great job of taking care of the whole restaurant.
I will definitely be back!
