Fish and Chips?

johnnym | Mar 6, 2003 03:30 PM

Hello, I'm kinda new to the city, otherwise I probably would have found an answer to this by now. I looked back through the board for a while, with no luck. Where can I find the best plate of fish and chips in Boston? I don't have a lot of mobility outside of the T, and any place that serves shoestring fries should be immediately disqualified. Other than that, it's pretty straightforward. Almost every bar has them, but I'm tired of ordering them and getting a fish stick and McDonalds-esque fries. I know there must be a place out there with a big, nicely cooked slab of fish, and thick, soft, golden potatoes, and hopefully a cold beer to go with them. Where is the best?
