Fine New Hot Chocolate Place in Downtown Berkeley

BerkeleyBaker | Feb 15, 2006 01:21 PM

Yesterday I visited Zemocha, a 3-week-old internet cafe in downtown Berkeley (1959 Shattuck
Ave., ½ block north of University Ave.) and found that (due to so many coffee stores) their specialty is hot chocolate. This is hot chocolate made from chocolate melted into milk or cream and it's excellent.

Best selling flavors are Mexican and then French. I had the French and it tasted like good hot chocolate in France. Prices were very reasonable--I paid $1.90 for a 12 oz. cup!
