I was really excited about going to Inoteca after reading the reviews on this forum. So, we got there around 8.30 on Saturday night and were not seated until 10.30 pm. The wait was incredibly long, and the bar/waiting area was packed. But, we persisted b/c I've been dying to try their truffled egg toast w/batarga. I have to say that the dish lives up to its reputation. The batarga gives the goey toast just the right amount of saltiness. We could have had another order of it. But, we wanted to sample all the other goodies: the suppli - fried risotto with goat cheese in the middle, which was a great combination of textures; meatballs - good, but I would try something different next time; assortment of cured meats - my bf's fave; and the sopressata, tapenade, and goat cheese panini - I have a weak spot for tapenade. I was full by that time, but the waitress tempted us with the affogado - vanilla gelato with a shot of espresso - so we ended up sharing a dessert. My bf, who does not like sweets/desserts in general, savored the dessert. I'm not a big fan of espresso - so I couldn't relate. Overall, the food met my expectations, and we want to go back with friends, who are moving to CA. But next time, we will be going earlier to avoid the long wait.
