Some friends in Chicago invited us to spend Thanksgiving with them. YIPEE! This is the first time in many years I don't have cook on that holiday (although I have a sneaking suspicion I will be called upon to make a potato gratin and that's OK). I've been to Chicago a few times and have to admit I love the city. I've had dinner at Charlie Trotter's (overrated a bit, I thought)but I'm after some more ethnic, gutsy food. I would like to eat at one of Rick Bayless' places but which one or should I not bother at all? Please lend a chowhand to this Chicagoland loving Brooklynite. Thanks.
