Ferrisburgh Bakery & Deli, VT

masha | May 5, 200906:59 AM

We were driving from Burlington to Middlebury last weekend, and looking to pick up a quick lunch on the way, but did not want to go to one of the national chains in S. Burlington. We pulled into the Ferrisburgh Bakery & Deli, knowing nothing about it and were quite pleased. We both had sandwiches - my husband an Italian sub, on a freshly made baguette roll, that was chock full of every conceivable meat and garnish. I went for a chicken salad on marble rye (bread was not made there), with minimal garnish. Both sandwiches were delicious, and the prices were very reasonable. They also have a wide array of desert baked goods but aside from a cookie each, we avoided temptation so I cannot comment on them. Definitely would return.
