Your favorite stovetop espresso maker?

I don't drink much coffee but when I do like an iced Americano; cool, smoky and invigorating. It's the perfect drink for a sluggish hot summer day.

I don't own a coffee maker, and I don't want too. I just wanna make espresso. I don't want to buy an expensive cappuccino machine; I'll never use the steam wand.

What seems perfect for me is one of those 6-cup stovetop espresso makers made by Bialetti. Because of three things. First, it's cheap. Second, it's simple. Three, it makes something between Turkish coffee and espresso, great.

The other things I think I know. 6 cups refers to espresso cups, so about 6 ounces of espresso. And aluminum is bad for you and it's better to buy stainless steal. But the aluminum maker sells for about $20, and the stainless steel for much more. I’m reluctant to spend more before I know how often I’ll use it.

My problem. There are lots of stovetop espresso makers out there, some look just like the Bialetti. Others have a few unique differences, are they just gimmicks. What’s yer favorite maker and why? I’d like to handle them before I buy one.
