Yeah, Tinga is not exactly super-authentic Mexican cusine; heck, it's probably not even "regular-authentic" Mexican.
But I think Tinga makes a great nacho. Tinga? You say. Why, yes.
The nachos here are out-of-this-world good.
Thick, housemade tortilla chips
Chunky fresh gaucamole
Good, smoky flavored chicken (not the bland shredded chicken haystacks you generally find)
Tangy sour cream
Not fancy, not overlarded with toppings, but just good wholesome ingredients that all taste just fine on their own, but really shine when eaten together in one bite.
Downside? Portions are small, and it's a bit pricey. But heck, the eye candy is good, and for that I suppose a few bucks extra is kinda of ... ok.
So, that's my favorite place right now for nachos.
