Father's Office... Oh, for a wait list

cvc | Nov 4, 2004 10:39 AM

I suggested to three friends that we share our post election gripes at Father's Office, in a Cheer's like setting. We arrived at 6:30pm and had to wait for an open table. Not a problem but one wishes the guy at the door went the extra step of taking names on wait list just to ensure a fair seating policy. As it was, two tables of four were held with one guest each while others waited with complete parties. But a small concern...

Two of my friends loved the famous burger, although one found the gruyere, bleu cheese combo with arugula and carmelized onions too far out. You would have thought he had ordered the praline coated chicken at Bastide. But everyone else loved this great burger. Is it the best? I don't know. But it certainly is one of them. At 9.50 each with an additional 2.25 for fries, it's definitely worth it. Add the superb sweet potato fries and you can't go wrong. They're the best. We had a couple of ciders for $5 and two Malbeques for $8. The perfect Cheers bar - L.A. style.
