I saw the Balsamic Strawberry frozen yougurt recipe here- and gave it a whirl. YUM!
I used 3 c berries, macerated in 5 T sugar/equal blend, 1 T Fig white balsamic vinegar..Pureed and added a pinch of salt and more Fig vinegar. Put into my ice cream machine and churned for 5 minutes or so, added several more heaping T of sugar blend and gradually added 16 ounces low fat plain yougurt.
This was beautiful and the kids were in heaven- I should have given it 24 hours to chill, not 1 hour, but it still tasted great in sugar cones. Not quite as popular as my chuncky monkey ice cream- but still yummy.
