Fassica Ethiopian Restaurant

After hearing all the positive feedback on this local restaurant, we went last night and were very pleased. The restaurant is quaint and very friendly.

We ordered the special which is "tasting menu" for three. I won't go over what's in the special because delicious life has pictures and a great review. When I first saw the platter, I thought it wasn't going to be enough for three. Boy was I wrong. We were all stuffed and there was still food left over. Overall favorite was the doro wat (chicken stew).

The chef also took the time to come over and explain all the dishes. Later, she brough us another chick pea stew to taste. I believe it was Yeshiro Alicha because this is the last type of pea stew on the menu. We really appreciate that the chef pays attention to her customers and is eager to share different flavors with us.

Overall, we really enjoyed our time at the restaurant and plan to return. When we were leaving, I went up to the counter for a take-out menu and the staff (looks like a family business) asked how we had heard about the restaurant. I said website and they responded Chowhound so they know about Chowhound very well. I think it has put this restaurant on the map.

Thanks to all the Chowhounds for showing us a nice neighborhood restaurant!!
