Looking for the old fashioned chinese restaurants which seem to be fewer and fewer. Looking for food similar to Hong Wo (Aka Harry's) on Lydig Ave in the Bronx in days gone by. Or Jade Pagoda (closed last year)by Trump Village in Brooklyn. Will even accept Polynesian like the old Yin Ting on Bay Parkway in Brooklyn. Interested in the large bowl of Wonton Soup with the family dinner. Old fashioned greasy spare ribs, chow mein combination plates etc. The closest I've come on Long Island is Palace of Wong in ROckville Centre. Queens its King Yum while in Brooklyn its Silver Star and Taeng FOng.Please help if you know of any others as they are becoming extinct. Willing to travel to eat the chinese food I grew up with.
