Yesterday I dropped by the Farmer's Diner in Barre VT for breakfast. I was pleasantly surprised by the good quality and value of the food, and the enthusiastic staff.
The diner tries to buy most of the their food locally, from local sources, and providing the food cheaply. They also try to buy organic if possible.
The breakfast menu was fairly standard diner fare. In my case, I had the biscuits and gravy with a side of home fries for $2.95, and it was quite good: rich gravy sauce, good sausage, and nicely done home fries.
Quite good, and a very good deal for the price.
I plan to drop by another time for lunch or dinner.
Have others here been?
