Farm Country Kitchen, excellent, once again [Long Island]

Motosport | Feb 1, 201709:25 AM     10

We went to the Farm Country Kitchen last night. It was a yucky snowy night but they had a nice crowd in the dining room.

We sat out on the enclosed porch overlooking the river. The room was cozy warm despite the weather. Outside trees were lit up, white table cloths, linen napkins and candles too. First time for my new squeeze who was impressed.

We share an appetizer of scallops and pork belly on a bed of sauteed spinach, excellent. For dinner we had a great salad with grilled chicken and artichoke hearts and the rack of lamb which I ordered rare. The lamb chops were doubles and cooked to perfection. Rare enough that my lunch leftovers were still pink after heating.

I like that they serve wine but do not charge a corking fee if you BYOB. We each ordered a nice glass of cabernet.

Shared dessert of pecan pie, warmed and served with "schlag" and berries was fantastic.

A perfect meal on a yucky evening.
