Sure was lively in the nabe last night. Read reviews of this new site, and tried it last night
with two others. They were into sharing: 2 entrees and one salad for the 3 of us, but when
it came to sharing one dessert I put my put down and insisted we would share no less than
Good thing. The fresh peach cobbler was the best dessert I've had eating out in a long time,
and I only wished I had it all to myself instead of sharing. Flourless chocolate cake was also
good, but not as unusual. They feature locally sourced food here; we shared avocado crabcake
entree and Merguez sausages with grilled veggies. Vegetables were outstanding; watermelon/yellow beet/feta cheese salad hit the spot also. (Local avocados and sausages? hmm.)
All the outdoor tables were filled; young crowd, but plenty of seniors also. Hopping bar.
So nice to have interesting new places to eat in Fairmount. French Press Decaf; one eccentricity: no artificial sugar, only coconut infused raw sugar? Next time we bring our own...
