Tried Falai for the first time last night, overall really enjoyed the meal.
Room is small and pretty cozy, despite the all white decor. No hard liquor, just beer and wine.
We both had the chocolate papardelle with venison ragout and black olives.. Wow! That's all I can say. It was amazing. It rivaled Babbo's pappardelle dish, which I love.
My only complaint is that it was a very small portion. THis dish made the entire night for us, it was that good.
My husband also had the short ribs entree with some type of parsnip puree. Delicious, again, very small portion.
Desserts were just OK. I had the profiteroles with chocolate dipping sauce. The only hint of chocolate on the whole dessert menu, so I grabbed it...Just Ok, needed some zing.
Husband had the polenta cake with spice semifreddo, very good, very diffrent with a green tomato compote..
Had some dessert wines, espresso at the end.
Nice quiet ambiance, I'd recommend, but order lots of dishes if you're somewhat hungry...
