Day one of three for me at the fair. Started with my 20 year tradition of a foot-long hot dog--can't help it. I loved the strawberries and cream. Strawberries were very flavorful and cream was generous. Salad on a stick at Giggles was delicious--cherry tomatoes, basil, and mozzarella a top greens with a creamy (orzo and wild rice?) accent. Salmon on a stick was good as always. Paula Red apple. Bite of DH's Pronto Pup. Crab fritters were somewhat oily-crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and I think I may have spotted a speck of crab inside, but am not sure. Didn't taste bad, but not a crab dish at all in my opinion. Disappointing. Finished with sausages by Cynthia (a trio, all good) and an eggroll from the new Chinese place that's doing chicken on a stick (Chan's)--again, nothing remarkable. Chicken on a stick might be better. I have two more visits to go, definitely needing cream puffs, wine ice cream, sweet corn ice cream, etc., etc., etc.
