Benchmark Pizza in Kensington is a bit out of the way but the pizza is worth a visit. Nice crust with a bit of char ...... thin but with some chew around the edges. we had the pancetta and greens ...... leeks and pancetta down first - then mozzarella and finally topped with a deep layer of nicely dressed arugula. we could hear the crackle of the crust as we cut into the pizza - and the generous amount of dressed arugula was a good counter point to the richness of the cheese, pancetta and leeks. good job! service is friendly - and relaxed. family friendly so early dining hours have a lot of kid energy - you're forewarned. I tried a glass of pinot grape juice - it wasn't that interesting. we also ordered the meat ball secondi - comes with polenta and kale. good hearty dish but not nearly as satisfying as the pizza. the FarmStand salad looked very good. And almost every table had the Strauss soft serve sundae ..... next time. We could have shared a full size salad and a pizza and been quite satisfied. ( leaving room for ice cream )
