My husband and I ended up having a good time at Renato's in Potomac for dinner on Friday, though it's a tight squeeze between tables (no privacy!). At first, we perceived the waiter to be impatient with us for whatever reason. He ended up being nicer. We enjoyed our mussels with white wine and garlic appetizer, though mussels could have been a bit plumper. The crusty garlic bread that accompanied it was good. We split a Caesar salad that was tasty and had fresh anchovies on top. For entrees, we had whole red snapper grilled with mixed veggies and pasta. The fish was perfectly cooked and tasty though we didn't like having to filet the fish ourselves. The pasta was also nicely al dente. For dessert my husband had vanilla ice cream and I had the yummy tiramisu. Pappy - you should try this place. Where do you work around there?
