Washington has an amazing array of Ethiopian restaurants better perhaps than any other American city according to some experts. As an outsider to that culture, Im pretty ignorant about the differences among styles of Ethiopian food. Can somebody direct me to restaurants that exemplify a particular style of Ethiopian food?
Basically, I love Ethiopian restaurants but dont really know much about what Im eating or whether the style of my favorite Ethiopian restaurants (or dishes) are typical of the entire country, a region, or ethnic group. Id like to be able to compare several restaurants cooking styles as a way of knowing more about the differences in Ethiopian cooking.
Anybody got ideas on this?
