Enoteca Drago

This past Friday evening, I had a relatively uninspired meal at the bar at Enoteca Drago; dry, tasteless salumi, all bunched up, crammed on a small square plate; deep fried bread nubbins to accompany it; the wines were nice, bartender friendly and accommodating with the highlight a dip of the house sangria and a sparkly red wine to finish things off with the plate of chunks of a wonderful vaca rossa parmesan and an underripe pear....Others have similar experiences? Want to like this place more as the wine flights are fun but the food lacks; it was the current chef's last night....so the place is foundering a bit; suspect that when Celestino Drago is in the house, things are tighter....
