I went to a great place for lunch yesterday and wanted to share it with y'all. It is a small cafe/takeout called Elizabeth's on the W side of Yonge, a couple of blocks N of Davisville. They serve homestyle Eastern European food at incredible prices. I had a pyrogy plate with sausage and a green salad (you can also have a cup of soup instead) for $6.95. The pyrogies were delicate and tasty, topped with an abundance of properly caramelized onions. My dining companion had a huge schnizel sandwich plate for $5.95. You have to look hard to find the place, but it's in a mini-mall where you have to take a set of stairs up to access the businesses.
