Hounds, I wanted to direct your attention to a review by my colleague Joan Reminick that ran on Friday.
Pine Aire Fish & Deli
140 Pine Aire Dr.
Pine Aire is an El Salvadorean fish market with a deli and, now, a proper seafood restaurant attached. I had lunch there once and was wildly impressed: huge bowl of seafood soup with lobster and conch and clams and shrimp in a rich broth, terrific fish tacos and shrimp tacos. Even "flounder Francaise" was delicious. The fried plantains were among the best I've had and the pupusas were wonderfully greasy. The dining room is clean and bright and there is even a patio for outdoor dining. The prices are ridiculously cheap for such good food.
I don't like to repeat here what gets printed in the paper, but I'd hate for anyone to miss this place. The last time I got so excited was Fonda Coyocan.
