The old El Cerrito Plaza shopping mall is gradually coming to life as an off-price chain mall (Ross, Shoe Pavillion, Bed and Bath, etc.) There were some nice looking restaurant spaces, but they appear to have been leased to chains as well.
So far, in addition to Starbucks, there's a Rubio's Fish Tacos and a Romano's Macaroni Grill. Does anyone know anything about either? (There's also a new outpost of our own SF mini-chain, Pasta Pomodoro, with some outside seating.)
