Not About Food 9

Table turned early for no reason - should I complain? | Apr 23, 2006 01:42 PM

On Saturday, my family and I went to eat an early dinner at a local tapas place in NYC that I will not name. I had other friends who were eating and drinking in the bar area. They had a view of the table so I actually flitted back and forth for a while. Anyway, my family of 5 arrived at opening time, 6. They were told that they needed to vacate by 7:15 because there were "so many reservations." Another table of 4 was told the same thing.

Instead, my family had a drink and tapa at the table, then at 6:45 left to go across the street and had a very nice dinner. Anyway, I returned back to see my friends a bit after 8. Both tables were still vacant! They had been vacant the entire time. I stayed until almost 9 and no one was seated at the table. Additionally, there were other empty tables.

Should I say something to the restaurant management?
