Edamame - Where can I buy in bulk?

MidPeninisulaChowhound | Jan 27, 200211:34 AM     11

I've always loved the lightly boiled salty edamame (soy beans) they serve at Japanese/fusion restaraunts. They're appetizing, light, refreshing, and good for you to boot! I've searched for places that sell them "en masse" but have only found them at places like Whole Foods in Palo Alto or Draeger's in San Mateo, for relatively pricey sums. Does anyone know where one can buy fresh edamame that closely parallels those found at restaraunts? I've heard there are frozen kinds, and are these as good as the fresh ones? Thanks in advance. (anywhere in the bay area is fine, I'm willing to drive at length for these!)
