Why aren't we eating more geese?

Puffin3 | Feb 19, 201508:33 AM

Waverly Root notes that it takes 4 lbs of grain to put 1 lb on a turkey, 3 lbs of grain for 1 lb on a chicken but only 2/3 lb of grain for 1 lb on a goose.
That's why in the poorest regions of France there are geese in every farmyard.
That's why butter and goose fat and pig fat remain the number one types used in French cooking.
So why isn't 'KFC' called 'KFG'?
I much prefer goose to turkey or chicken.
Thoughts?
