Joan Peterson has books for Indonesia, Turkey, Morrocco, Brazil, Poland and Mexico on "how to Decipher the Menu, Know the Market Foods & Embark on a Tasting Adventure"

Has anyone read these?

Curiously this started on the Chicago board on how to identify the many Polish Sausages. Wouldn't that be funny? Buying a Polish travel guide to know what you are eating in Chicago?
