After months of being presumed dead, Seltzer Sisters is back. Hurray! Hurray!
On Monday, we had a message on our answering machine - "We'll be delivering new bottles on Tuesday unless you call to instruct us otherwise. Please put your old bottles out."
And so it happened. We put our empties out on the porch and when we came home, we found fresh bottles of seltzer! It was like a miracle.
Background for those of you that don't know - Seltzer Sisters stopped their home delivery service last fall, citing increased workers comp costs. Many people, myself included, wept in the streets.
With our last remaining bottle, we held a seltzer taste test to see if any supermarket brand could replace our beloved Seltzer Sisters. They all failed miserably.
FYI - The hubby happened to catch the delivery person (who appeared angelic to him) who mentioned that just as they were getting ready to restart their service, San Francisco started adding something to the Hetch Hetchy water (chlorine?) and it changed the taste of the water so Seltzer Sisters had to set up a new filtration system.
