East Ocean Seafood in Alameda, state of play?

anothernotch | Jul 3, 201405:00 PM     19

While a student at Cal I quite enjoyed East Ocean Seafood both for dim sum and dinner service. I will be up in the East Bay with my family and was considering returning for a meal, likely an early dinner with our two boys. The most recent reviews I located suggest that the dim sum service may have gone downhill recently. I'm curious if there are any reports on the dinner menu? It's been over a decade since I last dined at East Ocean, will only be in the Bay Area for a few nights and don't want to waste a meal if the food doesn't warrant a return visit. Any information is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
