Early lunch for one in London

Blumie | Apr 16, 201810:09 AM     16

I arrive from Abu Dhabi at 6:30 on Wednesday, 25 April, and depart for New Orleans at 15:40, and while normally my policy is to eat as little as possible when traveling to New Orleans (one of my favorite eating destinations), I figure it's a long enough flight to New Orleans that it wouldn't be so terrible for me to use that 9-hour layover to head into Central London for an early lunch (or a late breakfast). I honestly don't have any particular criteria, which I know makes it difficult to make a recommendation, but it should be a good place for a single, casually dressed diner to eat. Also, I'm thinking maybe a place that is difficult to get a table in the evening, but is easier to get into during the day time. Is this enough to go on? (If one were to ask this question in NYC, for example, I might recommend places like Minetta Tavern or Gramercy Tavern, which are tough reservations in the evening but make for nice, relaxed lunches, or Roberta's, which routinely has two-hour waits in the evening but one can walk right into at lunchtime.)
