Dutch sausage

dutchgirl68 | Oct 9, 2007 08:00 AM

When I was young we used to get this great Dutch sausage from Fleetwood Meats in Vancouver. It was called roquewurst (although the spelling may be way off as I never saw it spelled). Anyway, it came in a ring like a kelbasa. My dad said/joked? that it was made of horse, but I never knew if he was serious.

Now I'm trying to introduce my kids to some of my traditional dutch dishes and since they both love sausages I thought I'd try and find this sausage. I can't seem to find anything online about it. Does anyone know if there are any Dutch butchers, preferably from Friesland that I could contact?
