Late Monday afternoon I decided to barbecue; however, my little grocery only had instant lighting coals available. I almost passed on the idea until I saw the Duraflame Quick Coals. I looked at them closer and gave them a whiff, they did not resemble the other quick starting coals and had no odor. I decided to give them a try. They lit quickly, they weren't stinky and they did not make my food taste weird either. In fact, I ran out of room on the barbeque so the next night I used my george foreman for the stuff that didn't get barbecued. Both tasted similar, except monday's leftovers did have the typical barbecue taste. I'll never relinquish my charcoal chimney but these new coals will definitely be used in the future should I need them in a pinch.
Anyone else try them yet?
