Dry Brisket at the Texan Bar-B-Q (algonquin)

dawn | Jan 12, 200403:54 PM was right. The brisket from the Texan was a disappointment. On Friday 1/9/04 we taste tested baby back ribs, brisket, chili, coleslaw and beans from both the Texan and Dave's. All four of the tasters preferred the moister, fattier brisket from Dave's. The vote was split 2/2 on the ribs. All four liked the meaty chili and the coleslaw from the Texan better. We were not able to test the beans because there was a mix-up in the order. Regarding raw brisket, I am getting a 10-15 pound raw brisket from Johnny G's @ $1.90 per pound.
