A no-drip falafel in the Beaches

Bob Catt | Jul 11, 2008 11:46 AM

It's been awhile since I picked up a falafal for lunch from Aida's Falafel on the south side of Queen St. East just east of Woodbine. They've always been good, and a bargain at $4.00. Their only drawback was that they dripped onto your clothes when you bit into them. Today I took a falafel home, sat on the veranda with a towel on my lap, attacked it - but no spills!! Aida's has redesigned its falafel. Instead of the moon-shaped pizza, now they roll it up with the ingredients tucked inside, then bake it in a panini press. Voila! No drippage!
