Drago has a wild game menu for the next week or so. I tried a Wild Foul Pate with Black Truffle and Braised Fennel. Excellent, and a huge portion for a starter lots to share). I also tried the Parmesian Risotto with Quail stuffed with Wild Boar Sausage. Just amazing. Others at the table tried Wild Boar Chops in a fig sauce. They tasted like Kicked Up pork chops. WOW. As usual the Squid Ink Risotto with seafood was excellent. The Polenta with Wild Mushrooms was very nice as was the Tomato Bread Soup. The Warm Chocolate Cake dessert was good but there are better examples of this. The servers were excellent and accomodating. I couldn't drink wine last night so others ordered glasses of boring Merlot. All included, out the door with a 20% tip was 180.00 for 4 people. That was truly one of the best meals that I have had in a long time, on all levels. I guess I am not alone, the place was packed and everything was working smoothly. A restaurant that has been around this many years and show this type of vitality is quite rare indeed.
