Chavin Peruvian Bistro, where Zody Cafe used to be, looks ready to go. Grand opening supposedly on Monday (Apr 13). I wonder how it will compare to Fiesta, right down the street.
Buffalo Wild Wings now has a big banner draped over the entrance, announcing a grand opening on Apr. 18th. The banner also proclaims "Free Wings for a Year" to the first 100 customers. (?)
The former Zinc's location, next door, had the doors opened today, but there didn't appear to be much construction going on. I can't tell what this is supposed to be -- there's just that sign with a picture of a bull and toreador, and "Coming Soon". What is coming?
Butterfield 8 (former Temple Bar) has continued activity -- I peeked inside and the interior is still rough, no floor yet but the booths are almost finished. For a while it seemed like there was a lull in construction, so I'm pleased to see something happening again.
"Thai Chi" is still signed as Plateau, even though they have Thai Chi fliers sitting outside their door. Identity crisis...
"Little Buddha", a new Thai restaurant, is coming, but I don't where. Does anyone know? It is mentioned on Little Thai Kitchen/THAI Spice's website. I heard about it from that article on corkage fees in the April 5th New York Times. In particular, Little Buddha will be BYOB with no corkage fee!
