My turn to organize my aunt's annual birthday trek to the city. Italian and inexpensive mandatory. We ate at Malatesta two years ago. Any recommendations appreciated--I keep reading Asimov and Sifton reviews of just the kind of place I want, but then I forget to write down the names. I'm thinking there is place on Spring near Mulberry, was a kind of dive bar, now owned by a couple, with a certain type of regional Italian (Venetian?) appetizer or appetizer plate that garnered good reviews. Anybody? Thanks.
