Downtown Chas. New/Good Scene? (and a Cola. tip!)

SC Belle | Jun 5, 2006 02:24 PM

Spending a three day weekend in Chas. with a good friend late June. We are both mid to late twenties, but are well past the college scene. We both prefer to eat well, but are looking for an informal atmosphere. I will be taking her to my fave local dives in Columbia, so we'd like a little higher brow for Chas. But not high brow-oh look there's my friend having dinner with her grandmother, if you catch my drift. Any suggestions? And new places we should check out?

On that note, the new place to check out in Cola is Solstice, from the creators of Gervais and Vine and Mr. Friendly's. OK, yes, it is way the hell out of town for those of us who live in town, but it's worth the drive. Check out the Monday night prix fixe (under $25) to dip your feet in the water. Had another great meal out there Sat...if only they would move downtown... :)
