Apparently an inebriated Foobooz intern accidentally reposted last years announcement of a Downton Abbey-themed dinner at Blackfish in Conshohocken (http://chowhound.chow.com/topics/8897...), and when the requests for reservations started pouring in, Chip Roman went with the flow, resulting in last night's wonderful dinner.
Despite some of the dishes names, I think this was more the sort of food that the Earl of Grantham and his family WISHED they were eating in 1920's rural England (the recipe for Chiffon cake was a secret at that point in history). But many of those attending played their part, showing up "dressed" for dinner, most notably Chip playing the role of the indomitable "Mrs. Patmore".
