Well, I am finally catching up from my trip to the Best of The Best BBQ championship held in Douglas GA this past weekend.

Based on Cornbread's note and some other information I found, we decided to have dinner at the Catfish House in 441 on the north side of town.

The specials board stated that they had a AYCE catfish that night for $6.99. This is $7.99 on the regular menu. There was also a Fillet Catfish dinner on the menu for $8.99. When we asked the waitress for the difference, she stated that the AYCE catfish dinner is bone-in catfish. Of course, the fillet is bone-out. I asked how much catfish you get on the fillet dinner and she said four fillets if they are big and five if they are small. I got the filet dinner and received ten pieces on the platter. Not a bad deal for $8.99. It came with the cole slaw and potato of choice.

Even before they took our order, they brought a plate hush puppies, pickled califlower, onions and pickles. The puppies were excellent with being a little on the sweet side.

There were many other seafood choices available and all for reasonable prices in my opinion. I would definitely go back myself.

While at the contest the next day, I asked a police officer for the best place in town and was told the Catfish House. We got lucky this time with Cornbread's help.

On Friday night, we stopped at a little mexican place that I did not realize was a chain. I had never heard of the place. They had a dinner buffet for $6.99. While it was not outstanding, it was not bad either. The name was El Potro, I think.

All of the rest of our meals were found at the contest.

Thanks again, Cornbread.
