This is a new fine-dining restaurant that recently opened in historic downtown Columbia. I went on Saturday night and was very impressed. It is superior to any restaurant in Hattiesburg.
The basic menu has some interesting appetizers and entrees, and some classics. However, the real gem is what the chef calls the "On the Road" menu. Each week, the chef offers a 3-cours fixed-price dinner from a different location. So far, I believe they've done New Orleans, Gulf Coast, and France. This week was Denmark. I have never had Danish food, but what was served was awesome. Split pea soup, a smorgasboard (including smoked salmon, pate, delicious vegetables, a Danish meatball, among other tings), and dessert (I had ice cream with homemade chocolate sauce) were included.
The restaurant is BYOB for the time being, I believe they are working on the liquor license. I think they are open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday-Saturday for dinner.
