Dogs & Little Necks in Glens Falls, NY

Dan H. | Jan 30, 200110:37 PM     2

If you happen to be in Glens Falls, New York anytime soon (some skiing at Whiteface perhaps) stop by the New Way Lunch counter along the town's main drag. (Can't remember the name of the road, but you can't miss it.) The New Way, known locally as "Dirty John's," specializes in hot dogs. (You'll notice right away, cuz there's a sign out front that says "New York's Best Hot Dogs") Maybe not the best dogs in NY, but at 75 cents a pop and loaded with onions, meat sause (aka chili) and plenty of mustard and relish, these tube steaks will soothe what ailes you. Order a coke while yer at it, they come in those tiny, ten ounze old fashioned glass bottles. If you've still got room left, trot across the street to Sandy's Clam Bar and knock down a dozen or so Little Necks for seven bucks. Of course, the Bud's always cold at Sandy's and when there's a band the place is hopping.
