Dishes most suited to cooking in copper

Hi, I am more of an amateur with cooking but I have always believed that it is good to invest in the things one uses frequently and get a high performance item that will last forever. My girlfriend and I picked out a used 9.5 in tin lined copper frying pan as her Christmas gift to me. I am not 100% what thickness it is but from pictures and the weight I strongly believe it to be 2-2.5 mm. I was a bit scared of tin at first but then I realized that the temperature that tin melts is roughly the temperature that teflon degrades, I would rather have to retin my pan than get cancer.

There are the obvious benefits, evenly cooking bacon, pot-stickers, and chicken but could someone give me any dishes that would showcase copper's advantages particularly well?

Also if I wanted to get another used piece or two what would you recommend as being the most versatile piece of cookware? I was thinking about getting a medium sized saucepan if this goes well.
