A very disappointing visit to Cliff’s Bar-B-Que…

Civil Bear | May 16, 2006 07:54 PM

I have been a fan of Cliff’s on Bayshore for quite some time, but lunch today was very disappointing. Good barbecued beef ribs are hard to find in these parts, but I have found that when they have them (rarely), Cliff’s has been the best around. Until today that is…

Not only were they tough and greasy, but there were only 7 short-ribs (a full-size rib cut in half) in my $22 full-rack order. I have ordered the regular meal before and gotten 4 ribs, and I have ordered the half-rack before and gotten 6, so I when my co-worker returned with only 7 I figured something must be amiss. Unfortunately, I found out from my follow-up call that 7 was indeed the correct number.

And to top-off our lunch, the corn bread muffins were stale and hard as rocks. Possibly the worst I have ever tried. Thank goodness the greens were as tasty as ever…
