The food was good. Back to that later.
The interior is quite nice, booths on one side and reasonably spread tables on the other. Table tops are teak which is nice. Expensive but saves on linen costs.
But it is among the loudest restaurants in town.
I know they have only been open a few weeks but the service was like Outback. Servers were experienced but service was disjointed, stop and go, dishes mixed up. Looong wait between end of entree and arrival of coffee. Which was well after arrival of dessert.
At $100 a head this should not happen.
But we'll be back for the food. Fish dishes and meat dishes were very good with the fish perfectly cooked. Grilled baby octopus was the winner of the night. An order of warm olive oil and cornmeal cake had people rolling their eyes, until they tasted it. The second big hit of the evening.
At the price and noise level it won't be on our top favorites list, but it is worth going. I have a good friend who went there the previous week. I have taken him to many good New Orleans restaurants and I know his tastes. He said he will definitlely take his wife there the next time they come to New Orleans.
