We had an outstanding b-day dinner at Scutra last night. I was a little put-off by the menu at first, since it still listed Winter Veg. Tian, and after all, it IS May, even though the temp. is off. Happily, for us, the specials, of which there were many, were spectacular. To begin, we shared a lobster-stuffed shrimp, unlike any I'd had before - very imaginative, and an excellent mushroom/goat cheese strudel. For entrees, I had a rib-eye steak, one of the best steaks I've had, the b-day boy had swordfish with a wasabi mayo. He's a hard sell, and he loved it. Daughter had pistachio crusted halibut, over which she swooned. Desserts were to die for. Thanks hounds, for pointing us in the right direction.
